Airbrush Tanning??

Question
Have any of you tried airbrush tanning? Does it come off on your clothes? I really want to have some color for my wedding but I'm not a fan of tanning beds so I thought I might try airbrush tanning. I'm just afraid it'll come off on my dress and ruin it.

Answer
I think it's dry by the time you would put your dress on. You would get it done two or three days before your wedding.

I haven't tried it, but I know a few on here who did. Shaks, didn't you try it once or twice? I can't remember...

Answer
I had airbrushing done for a wedding a few years ago (I was a bridemaid). It's awesome! I totally recommend it! I got sprayed the day before. It dries in under 5 mins. It only looks good for about 2 days though. So don't go too far ahead!

Awesome! So do you only have to have it done once or can you go multiple times for a deeper tan?

Answer
I went the day before the wedding, and I wish that I'd maybe gone an extra day in advance. You are pretty dark coming out, but they say not to shower for 24 hours to allow it to set, and then you look a bit more normal. I remember it being fairly reasonably priced, but can't remember exactly how much we spent on it.

I did notice that after the wedding, some of the tan had come off underneath my arms onto my dress. Wasn't something noticeable during the reception, but I was definitely melting! Overall, I thought it was a pretty good experience-although looking back, a test run wouldn't have been a bad idea...

Answer
Do you know if there is anyway of keeping it off your dress?

Answer
Prayer?

I'm not really sure-I think if I'd done it two days ahead instead of one, or if I hadn't danced and sweated (like that was going to happen). It wasn't like everytime I touched me dress something would happen, just something I noticed at the end of the night around my armpits. I guess I should have expected it-I allowed myself to be sprayed with brown stuff!

I went to get it done for my brithday one year and they said you need a base tan before you do it or it'll be kinda streaky, and you have to do it 2 times to get a natural looking tan with no spots or streaks. So i didn't do it bc i was sooo pale at the time...

Answer
It cost about $25. They have different "levels"....each level makes you a little darker. The first time I went, I got level #1. It was a nice even tan....no streaks. The second time I went (about a month later), I got level #2....which was the same just darker than the first time. No streaking then either.

The one I went to....you stood in a booth and a machine sprays you. I know there's a few places that have actual people spray with an airbrush. Maybe that's the difference. And like I said, I went the day before the wedding. I took a shower that night and my fake tan was fine the whole next day.

Answer
This is fantastic!! I'm really excited!

Ashley, have you had your dress dry cleaned yet? If so, did the color come out?
