Question
Hello. I got my dress right after Thanksgiving. Then me and my fiancee decided to go through a weight management program before Christmas. It was so difficult not to eat those cookies but we tried not to eat them because our goal is to look good at our wedding.

After a month of suffering...I went to have my first fitting last Sunday and they have asked to postpone it until next month. I lost a dress size and they've recommended me to exchange my dress to a smaller size than what I bought last Thanksgiving. It was a great feeling and seeing myself in the mirror with a smaller dress size.

The seamstress congratulate me and told me that if I am going the same rate as I've been, I might loose another dress size or two. Now, I can't wait! My wedding is not until May 5 and my goal now is to be in 2 more dress size smaller.

To those brides that are in the same position as I am...imagine yourself at the day of the wedding and it will keep you motivated to loose a dress size. Trust me...it is so worth to feel the way I felt that day (and up to now).

I'd be a little cautious on the 'exchange it for a smaller dress size'....just remember it's a lot easier to take a wedding dress IN then to let the dress OUT. So I think to be on the safe side, I wouldn't exchange it for a different size. That and usually all wedding dress sales are final, would they even let you exchange it?

Congrats on the weight-loss by the way! What's your secret? Yeah, they let me exchange the dress to a smaller size. Even the seamstress told me to do it...although the cashier told me to do it right away because you never know what the store policy the next day.

I did not exchange the dress to a smaller size than I can fit now. I just got the dress size that just fits me now and they told me that if this dress gets smaller then I can exchange to a smaller size (or whatever fits me then) at the time of my next appointment.

They were really nice and very accomodating.

That's great!! My dress took 5 months to get here....so there would be no way I would have exchanged it!!

I know that feeling, not with a wedding dress because I havent chose mine yet, wont do it until August, but Ive been on the weight watchers program and had lost 33 pounds so far, so the change in sizes has been on my regular clothe is a great feeling. The only thing is that I need new clothe and I cant really afford right now to get a whole new closet!!!! So I do have some things that fit the right way but the majority of my clothe right now is big, well kind of huge but its a good thing

About loosing more weight for yourself, just make sure that theres enough time for them to keep fixing that dress and to have it available for your wedding day..... keep the good work!!!!!

Ok I have got the diet for you, its an 8 week diet and that will leave you plenty of time prepare yourself or relax afterward.
