ch-ch-ch-changes????

Question
What would ya'll think of this hairstyle on me???

Answer
Go for it you can always use a flat iron on it if its not what u like. But i think you will like it!

Answer
would it be a perm? as long as it were low enough maintenace for you to be mommy! but i definitely like the look!!!! how curly is your hair naturally, if at all?

Answer
My hair has a VERY slight wave to it naturally. Not enough to work with... I'd have to get a perm to get that hairstyle.

I had it once before and didn't keep up with it, so I had my hair straightened back out. I'm just sick of having my hair in a ponytail every single freaking day.

Answer
Personally, I think the curls on that hairstyle are too tight. Bigger wavy curls would look more natural and prettier. Maybe you could get a body wave? Unless you like the tight curls like that, I'm just not a fan.

Answer
Can you try and find a picture of what you're talking about? I'm having a hard time picturing it?

I'm looking for something that won't take me long to do... something I can get out of the shower, throw some product on, and go. I don't want to spend 20 minutes on my hair... not gonna happen with a baby.

Answer
I think it would look great! It's also SUPER easy to maintain!

Answer
I like it. It might be difficult to keep up though

Answer

I like the bigger curls here. But, I'm not sure if a perm will give you that. I've heard that body waves give you bigger waves and just basically body. Not sure though. That's just what I like

Answer
Oh no... don't like that. I like the tighter curls. That look can only be accomplished with hot rollers... everyday. Not gonna happen.

Answer
margie, you're very very right that that look can only be accomplished by hot rollers.. i kknow this b/cs that's the look i was going for and got a body wave and my stylist told me so but i insisted... and i got smaller, tighter curls anyway. she was right. my perm was lo lo maintenance which i loved but it also didn't last long, but my hair was waist length then so that may be why? i hear you on the sick of ponytails!!! i wear one of those claw clips every single day of my life! rickey loves my hair, and he never gets to see it!!!!

Answer
I don't like it Margie, sorry. I think it's too teenagery of a style for you. I will see if I can find some photos of a style I think would be better.

Answer
I actually went to the Salon yesterday, but they didn't have any appts available. Before I left Jerry said "Don't come back unless you have a hairstyle that requires you to STYLE it everyday"

I guess he's sick of the ponytail, too. I don't see what the big deal is... I've only worn it like this everyday for the past 10 years!

Answer
Yeah, I guess the body wave wouldn't work for that look. I personally just hate that permed look. What about cutting your hair into a cute bob--that would be less work, and no ponytails!

Answer
I've had that before, too. The funky wave to my hair makes it look dumb unless I take a curling iron or flat iron to it.

If I could find something to work with this godawful hair I have I'd do it in a second. Sometimes I just wanna shave my head!

Answer
Let me know what you decide to do, because it sounds like we have the same type of hair and I'm struggling with what to do with my hair. I have to straight-iron it every morning (don't have time) or it has strange crimps. I wear it up in a ponytail/bun every day, even to work. I have really thick hair and struggle with how to style it.

I've thought about getting a perm too but haven't brought myself to do it yet. I used to get them all the time when I was younger, and I remember how easy it was to get ready in the morning.

Answer
If you go with the curls which I think you should.....Make sure that you buy leave in conditioner so that will keep your hair from getting too frizzy. I think this will be a perfect style for you because you could just add some product scrunch it a little bit and then let it air dry. I think you have the right shaped face to pull it off. I think that maybe if you even got a little tighter of curls it would still look great!!

I tuck the ends of my hair under in my ponytails and Jake calls it the budda ball. He told me he doesnt want to see the budda ball anymore! Maybe its in the air.

Answer
I think you will still end up putting it in a ponytail... I've seen you try a million different hairstyles and it ALWAYS ends up in a ponytail after the first month... As long as your hair is long, it will be back in a ponytail. That's the only way it will be out of your face. If you want something low-maintenance and stylish, you'll have to cut it short...

I also think the perm looks like something Erica would wear and Rick & I would make fun of her for...

A good cut goes a LOT further than a perm... and it's less expensive to get done and to maintain. You're tight on money now, so I would look into different cuts before you get a perm.

Good luck!

Answer
I like it! That's a look I've always liked, and if you want to try it -- go for it!!!

Now that wasn't very nice.

You weren't around when I tested the perm before. I think it looked good. I just didn't ever get it repermed.... no reason why.

I've tired "low maintenance" hair styles... they always end up being high maintenance for me cause of the funky wave to my hair. If I had super straight hair like you, we wouldn't be having this discussion!

Answer
I like it, which is strange for me. I usually pick a hairstyle by "how quickly does it blowdry?"

That's cute though... I'd totally go for it if you're up for the change.

Answer
I don't like that style in general, and with your facial shape, I think it would be a mistake.

Plus, hanging all down in your face (which it will), you will end up frustrated and with a clip pulling it back.

Why not try a short style that sort of flips up. Layered. No longer then just below the ear. With the right product and a minimal of effort in the morning, it's a finger style and fringe flip. A slightly wavy hair works great with that style.

Answer
I agree with Wynelle. Remember how straight and flat my hair was before I got it cut? I love my hair now and it's so easy to take care of. I have a bit of natural curl and I don't have to blow dry it if I don't feel like it. I still throw it back into a pony-tail once in a while though, I'll always do that. I'll find a pic from New Years Eve and show you the "layered" look, while keeping the length.

See how it's layered and at the end of each layer there is a bit of curl? I rec'd a lot of compliments on my hair that night and I didn't do anything to it b/c I had that damn virus. My hair dresser also made it a bit darker underneath in the back to give it more depth. I absolutely love it. Give it a shot!! (I also think I look a bit younger.)

Answer
I agree with Heather. I think you need some layers cut into. Mine has this odd wave to it too. Not really curly but not straight either. I went with the look you posted and it ended up in my face and looking like I never combed it. Add some layers to give it a lift. That's just my opinion though.

Answer
I've had layers. If I don't take a curling iron to them everyday I look like nasty white trash. I had layers as recent as 6 months ago. I let them grow out cause I didn't want to style them everyday. My hair doesn't fall as naturally as yours, H.

I don't look good with hair shorter than shoulder length either.

Screw it... I'll just leave my hair the way it is.
