Well with the new year coming and some pretty final things happening (DF and I are DONE long story I won't bore you with AGAIN...Just know he's walke away no phone calls etc) Anywho, I had an appointment today for a "trim" hee hee and I felt like having a new me. My hair was down to the middle of my back and very wavy and frizzy. I've also had it blonde blonde pretty much for the past 10 + years so as far as I know THIS is my natural color. So here you go:

Ok Mary. I figured you all were sick of hearing the saga BUT DF and I have been really struggling trying to keep it together and making ourselves miserably. We love each other very much but all the other "baggage" so to speak makes it hard. SO Christmas eve he came over to visit and we looked at each other and I saw it coming He said I had to let him go. That I was no where near getting married and he really wants to be married and live happily ever after. So I let him go. I've bawled my eyes out and I know that it's been going on for what seems like forever but it still feels like someone yanked my heart out and there's a whole there. He made a good point though...I don't know what makes ME happy. I can make the kids happy, him happy, my parents, work, etc but I haven't got a clue what makes me happy. I have no life that is MINE other than the kids and lets face it even mom's need a life. Well I decided this year is going to be about me. I want to figure out what I want out of life. What will make me happy. I was growing my hair long for the wedding and this morning realized no wedding, no desire to have long pain in the arse hair. So I guess the hair cut was a symbol for me growing in a new direction. I'm scared out of my wits because for the first time in 7 years I have no direction laid out for me. It's scary and at the same time kind of exciting. I'll be taking the leadership class at work and maybe just maybe I might learn something about myself. And just for the record I'm not as "healthy" as i sound. I'm doing better today than I have been. I don't think I've cried this much in my life. So there's the saga...next questions. hee hee

Awww, Gertie... why didn't you tell us? You shouldn't have to hold that in because you think we're sick of hearing it. If we don't want to hear it we won't read the thread...simple as that. Love you girl.....it'll get better. You took the first step by making a change! Good job!

Thanks Mary. I don't know what I'd do without you guys. On top of everything, DF going away, DS9 having to go through counseling, being broke, I can't shake this bronchitis and sound like Kathleen Turner. I don't know what I'll do come Jan 2 when I have to go back to work answering the phones. lol But I'll look pretty. hee hee

Awe thank you all! I took the boys to the movies tonight and started to have remorse when I say all the pretty hair floating around. Then I got upset because I had a "mom" do Then I realized it wasn't the hair. The last time I went to that theater was with "him" and then I had to really try not to think about it all. I really just wanted to have a good time with the boys but I really have a pain in the pit of my stomach. I guess time will tell. Just an overwhelming holiday. I do think I like it...the do that is. But it's different to go from sexy long locks to sassy short flippy stuff. lol And Breezy,,,My hair flips but not always the direction I want. lol I have a TON of hair and they don't always agree with one another. Thanks again for the good vibes and liking the do...althought those pictures show crows feet Not cool.
