Need help for prom/Burn's Night fancy hair!!
Question
Hey everyone! I have a very unconventional prom dress which looks something like a fairy princess or a ballerina outfit (think flowy, not tutu. It is many shades of muted green. Anyway, I have naturally curly, approx. shoulder length dark brown hair and I need some help for a style. I wouldn't mind a complete updo, but I think a romantic half up style would suit my dress. I need help! Thanks so much for anything!!! -April Answer Hi April, Your dress sounds great! Here are a few ideas to start you thinking. And my favorite look: Answer Thanks! Are there any tips you could give me on the "Shakespeare in Love" style? I don't know if I could pull it off... Answer The 'braid' is easy to do but hard to explain! In addition to the instructions in the article When you start the twist, turn up. Turn from bottom to top, then, when you pick up hair, you add it in the same direction, so it creates fullness at the bottom and a 'ridge' on top of it. Is that at all clear? Answer Yeah! It's completely clear, actually! Thanks so much! Just one last clarification: When I pull the "braid", should it be tight or rather loose? On the movie picture, it seems to have a lot of body...I want that. Answer Keep it loose. Since your hair will be dry and already fluffy when you braid it, it should stay full for you. |
