Question About Hair Colouring
Question
Hey girls, I just have a question regarding hair colouring. last week I dyed my hair dark brown. When I came out of the shower and dried my hair, to my shock my hair had turned black. COMPLETELY BLACK! I don't really mind it but I don't like the idea of myself with black hair. Do you think I could bleach my hair, leave the bleach on for about 10 minutes or so just so some of the blackness comes out and then put a lighter dark brown over the top? Would the colour turn out alright? Would it damage my hair too much? Any helpful replies greatly appreciated Thankyou. Answer What's your natural hair color? I'd just pick out a lighter brown and try again rather than bleaching first (because that might come out uneven and maybe even dull). If ain't happy, ain't happy! Answer Adreia, You will have to use some kind of bleaching prepartaion. That would be the only way to lighten it. I think a better choice would be a mixture of bleach and shampoo. - half & half That makes a milder bleach. Since you just tinted your hair, it should lift fairly easily. Then Condition ! When you reapply color, I would keep it very light. Answer I'd just pick out a lighter brown and try again Sorry Ice, that won't work. Tint will not lighten tint. It would most likely just get darker - if thats possible- and more porous. Answer My college days included black hair and putting bleach over that usually resulted in bright orange, which is most likely also not on your desired hair palatte. Answer My college days included black hair and putting bleach over that usually resulted in bright orange, The very reason I suggest that you use a Bleach/shampoo mixture. Also, it does require conditioning and another lighter shade of brown to correct it. I have used this proceedure many times when someone came to me with a similar problem. Ofcourse the best solution is to have a hairdresser do it. |
