Laser hair removal on legs??

Question
I was just wondering if anyone here has, or knows someone who has had the hair on their legs lasered off? I am very interested in doing this since my leg hair grows back extremely fats...like two hrs. after shaving. My skin is very light and may hair comes back really dark...it is so gross and want it to be gone permanently. The only question I have is does it ever grow back after a certain amount of time? I was just wondering before I go and drop $1100 on something that isn't for sure...thanks for any info and advice

Answer
I had a friend that is a girl who went in to the laser hair removal clinic to get her arms done. 4 months later, she had pretty much had her entire body done, she LOVED it. The way I understand laser hair removal is that there is a good chance that it will grow back in a few months, but lighter and finer. I've heard that each time you do it, less grows back until, eventually, you are hair-free.

If I'm remembering the science behind it correctly, the wavelength of the laser light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair, so, the darker the hair, the better it works. The energy that is absorbed then cauterizes (sp?) the folicle, thus making it thinner and thinner.

I've actually thought about getting this done on my face. Shaving is such a pain.
