NY is an unlicensed state. So before you start making your phone calls, educate yourself on what to look for in an electrologist, because sometimes in an unregulated state, the person claiming to be an electrologist is under trained, or not performing true electrolysis (needle) at all.

I did a search at anywho.com for electrologist within 50 miles of you, this is what I found:
The problem with the anywho listing is that you can't be sure if these businesses actually do needle electrolysis without calling and asking. I've also found that in small areas, many electrologists only work part time and don't advertise in phone directories. You may want to call dermatologists and endocrinologists in your area to see if they can refer you to someone.
