Question
Hi ,
i had my first laser hair removal session done this past wednesday on my legs, bikini area, stomach and underarm. it barely took the teck about 50 minutes to do all of that. i don't know but it seems to me that it doesn't add up. by the way only my lower legs not the whole thing.
my problem is, that the hair is already growing. it seems as it she only shaved it and 2 days later the hair is out. when i try to pull it it resists a lot . does that seems right ? or it is just that she didn't do it right? and my underarm seem darker , the skin is darker in color now? ????
please help me
thank you

Answer
50 minutes for all that sounds fairly quick. What type of laser was used?
The hair that appears to be growing is probably the treated hair working its way out. It should take 2-3 weeks before you are able to pull out hairs with your fingers. Patience is important. If after 2-3 weeks and nothing has changed, then you have a problem.
Answer
first, you need to wait 2-3 weeks for shedding. it doesn't start until end of week 2 or so. patience like BRR said.
50 mins is about rigtht for those areas. bikini 10min+underarm 5min+stomach 15 min+lower legs 20 mins. you'll be able to see if any areas were missed AFTER treated hair sheds. Whatever doesn't shed, was missed.
What is your skin and hair color? what laser is being used? whether you're experiencing hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin) depends on whether they're using the right laser for your skin type at correct settings.

Answer
she used a yag laser.
i am considered skin type 4
thanks for your help
Answer
there shouldn't be any pigmentation with a Yag on a type IV. let us know how everything goes in 2-3 weeks.
Answer
The speed depends on the type of laser being used, as well as the skill of the tech. I had my upper legs done with the Aurora one time and it took over an hour. The tech was very methodical and thorough. So, this in my back ground is why I said that 50 minutes seemed rather fast.
Answer
Yes, lower legs for me, also takes about an hour, so that is quite fast.
Answer
It usually takes about 3 hours for me to have full legs and arms done. So, 50 min seems short for you.
