My wife just had her consultation...

Question
For her sideburns and chin and the price came in at $1300 for both....now that seems a bit high for me...
Their prices were as follows:
$150 per session
I talked to the consultant and tried to see what the deal what because a year ago my mother had her legs taken care of for the same price of $1300 and she only required 5 treatments. They are telling my wife she needs 7 treatments.
Honestly....I'm thinking 7 treatments??? Why? And why is the face the same price as the thighs and calves?
Perhaps I'm clueless.....but I don't see a comparison between legs and the face...if you couldn't already tell.
Thanks for any input!

Answer
$150 is an ok price for those areas, per treatment. I wouldn't prepay for 7 treatments up front. She might not need that many. It varies per person and the skill of the tech how many she will need, and I'm not a fan of pre-paid packages because if something is wrong, you are stuck and can't switch providers. We recommend here to get a least 3-4 consultations and be very careful about choosing the right place to do the job. Try using the search feature and look for recommended places in your area that others have tried here. also, some other things you should be looking into besides the price is the best type of laser for her skin/hair type and skill of practitioners. Finally, unless your wife has a lot of dark coarse hair on her face and light skin, she might want to look into electrolysis instead as well. there are some posts here from women who experienced more growth after laser on their faces (rare occurence and is reported with on women's face-- usually when treating fine hair and at low settings - and men's backs and upper arms.) Something to be aware of when you're making your deicision.
