Question
Hi everyone! I'm just now learning about electrolysis and since I've got hair covering my body from head to toe , I've got a lot of questions to ask!
I have a lot of short hairs on my neck that I've only ever bleached, the hair does cover all of my neck but I think the worse part is just that it is dark (i am fair-skinned) and I have a few questions on how to get rid of this.
-Do I try Laser or Electrolysis?
-In between either treatments, can I bleach the hair?
-Do I have to get rid of every hair on my neck or will the electrolygist decide on that?
-Will the hair definitely be less noticeable after first treatment?
-I noticed you don't have to wait long to get your next treatment, so does that mean I would be able to get my next treatment even before the hair fully grew back?
-How long does each treatment take to do only front of neck?
-and around how many treatments would I need and over what period of time?
Thank youuuu to anyone that even reads this and especially to whoever replies! I don't know anywhere else or anyone I can go to for any electrolysis information so I hope to learn from you all. Thanks a lot!

Answer
laser works best on dark coarse (dense) hair and light skin. if your hair is fine, then electrolysis is probably a better way to go. it sounds like it's fine since you bleach it, so i assume it's not like a man's beard.
you can bleach hair in between treatments, but once you get yoru first clearance, you probably won't need to since only some hairs will be showing up at a time, and you will be going in to get those zapped. you should avoid bleaching several days before and after treatments if you do though because beaching is harsh on the skin.
you can decide of how much you want to get rid of and tell your electrologist. electrolysis is treating one hair at a time, so it's up to you. everyone has some sort of hair, i would treat the ones that actually stand out. it's normal to have some hardly noticeable vellus hairs
hair comes back finer after each time and some hair is killed on the first zap. hair is most vulnerable when it's new and just comes out that's why regular treatments are important throughout the process. you treat hairs when they're long enough to be pulled out with tweezer-like tool by the electrologist after he zaps it.
A skilled electrologist using thermolysis method can do about 5-6 hairs per minute. we can't see you, so you can judge based on that how long it will take for your first clearance. after that, you treat hairs as they come in, and it won't be all at the same time, because of hair growth cycles. some hairs are dormant at any one time. in general, it takes 9-12 months at least to complete a treatments on an area due to hair growth cycles -- i.e. to catch ALL hairs in growth phase.

WOW thanks a lot for replying you were great help and if i could also ask you or anyone,
if i bleach the hairs will the electrologist still be able to see them and which ones he/she needs to zap??
and is there any way at all that something could go wrong that i actually end up with more hair on my neck then what i already have? or am i just a bit paranoid
thank you very much
Answer
An electrologist that has quality magnificatiion can see any hair with the aid of quality lighting. If you bleach the hair, the growing hair will soon have dark roots to see in addition to the ends still being blond. The non- growing hairs will stay pretty much blond from the skins surface all the way to the tip. Those with inadequate magnification may miss hair that needs to be removed or may miss the opening of the fllicle all together.
The electrolgist should be going after the bigger hairs first, followed by the medium hairs and on down when appropriate.
If all is done properly, you should not end up with more hair than when you started. You always have more hair brewing under the skin that will surface after your first clearance over the next several months. You need to "go after it" each time you notice a new crop. Pretty soon, usually within 9-12 months, there won't be much hair left to get if you are consistently going in and the electrologist is doing her / his job correctly.
I would go for thermolysis. Get those referrals to figure out who is the best in your area or get consultations from several practitioners to compare. It is possible to find a speedy, deadly zapper that gets you to completion before the next century arrives.

okay i'm real sorry i have a few more questions to ask if anyone can answer!
i was wondering how long anything like redness or swelling after electrolysis on the neck lasts? like will it be noticeable to others the next day or what?
and also, if a patient happens to scar or anything serious like that, is it because of their skin being sensitive or something or would it be because the electrolysist isn't doing it correct?
thank you all
Answer
oh and also! because i have short hairs(but all over) on my neck, and basically everywhere else on my dang body, does that mean i have hirsutism, and if i do, will that interfere with electrolysis? thanks soooo much
