Question
I had my first treatment with an alex 3 weeks ago on the legs. I noticed that some of the hairs that are growing now are completely white. I never had any white hairs. I am sure it's because of the laser.
Was the setting too high? Low? I don't know what settings were used on me in the first place, but I would like how to discuss them with the technician the next time.
Thanks.

Answer
I don't think this is a big issue. I had couple of white hairs on my underarms after the first couple of treatments with GentleLASE alexandrite laser, but by treatment 4, they were gone. Not sure if they fell out...but they're not there anymore. How many do you think you have total?
Answer
After 3 weeks post treatment with the Alex you shoudn't have any hairs. If they were dark they would have been treated. I would suggest that they were there before the treatment, but because they were white they weren't noticed.
No laser can turn dark hairs white!
Answer
Maybe the lighter hairs were there all the time but you never noticed because of all the dark hair. After treatments on my underarms and bikini area, I saw blonde hairs that I never noticed before, but were hiding amongst the darker hair.
Answer
yes, that could be the case too, especially if it's only 3 weeks post treatment.
