I had my 3rd treatment recently, having my back and shoulders lasered. the laser is lumenis light sheer XC - in the last treatment I noticed the laser machine counts the laser shots..
in my 3rd treatment the nurse did 830 shots when she was doing my lower back she was doing 3 shots on like 6 inches line.. when I asked her if she is moving too fast or skipping some she said she's not.. in my 2nd treatment she did 1150 shots.
this laser machine does 0,5 inch in square..so 1 shot should cover 0,5x0,5 which is 0,25 sq inches...
so 830 shots should cover 207,5 sq inch and 1150 287,5 sq inch, I think my back area should be minimum 360-375 sq inch, I am 5'10, waist width 13-14 inches and shoulder width 19-20 inchs..
so looks like in both treatments they did not cover all the area.. especially in the last one there is a big difference..
any comments??

usually, the tech should overlap a bit just not to miss areas. noone is perfect though, and you will always have a few missed small spots here and there. the way to tell is whatever doesn't shed within 3 weeks after treatment and continues growing is the hair that has been missed. some places will do free touch-ups on the missed areas 4 weeks after treatment.

unscrupulous techs can do this to stretch out your treatments, especially if they are not giving you free touchups.
Everyone should demand free touchups, you've paid them to treat that area and if they miss then you should get a free touch up, if they don't then go somewhere else cause they're just trying to rip you.
