Answer
either a diode or Yag laser would probably be best for you on the face if the hair is dense and coarse. Yag because males find it more tolerable and less post-treatment side effects like redness and swelling with it. Yes, you can get hair removal if you have acne. It might actually help clear it up a bit even. Run the search engine on here and other forums for recommendations.
Answer
I think i read that the cost of the treatments get cheaper each time you go in, because its less hairs to be treated right ?
Answer
depends on the agreement at your particular clinic. every clinic is different.
Answer
Since i am 22 - almost 23 yrs old in may,
i no longer considered young, so no new hair will grow right ?
so its a good time to go for laser hair removal at this age ?
Answer
you'll probably be growing at least SOME hair all your life. It's a normal time to go in for treatment. You should always count on at least one touchup treatment a year after you're done with initial treatments anyways.
Answer
I found a place where they use the Candela GentleLASE Plus™ laser
and they take Medicare as Insurance coverage, which i have
whats your take on the Candela GentleLASE Plus™ laser for me for the facial hair removal ?
and does this place look good to go in for laser hair removal ?
Answer
They accept Medicare, but that doesn't mean it will cover laser hair removal. This is a dermatology practice. Medicare covers most skin diseases, cancers, etc. Not cosmetic procedures.
23 is still very young in the male hair growing scheme of life. You will most likely continue to grow new beard hairs until age 35-40.
Answer
GentleLASE Plus is a good laser for skin types I-III and dark hair
Answer
Do you think i should go in and have an hormone test ?
Answer
if you don't have any abnormal growth, it's probably not necessary. you're just treating your face, correct?
Answer
23 is young indeed, but keep in mind that when you begin to get those grey hairs, they cannot be removed with LHR. My beard is turning grey now and so my LHR is only capable of getting the dark hairs before the color drains away from them! Thus, you cannot wait too long before trying the laser.
Answer
Answer
well, it's normal for a male to have hair on the face. issues with hormones are obvious when there is hair on the back etc. and with males, it's often diet, exercise, and insulin resistance issues rather than hormones as it is for women.
Answer
well i have some hair on my back
but nothing major, just a couple single hair here and there
