question for deef or L.E.

Question
Hello, I am doing thermolysis right now. My elecrtrolsis always has her machine on the lowest setting for me. I asked her once if we could turn it up a little to make sure its getting the hair. She said the setting doesn't really matter. So I'm thinking then why even have high or low if it's all the same?? Could you give me some insight. I hope she's not keeping it low so I'll be coming in forever. I do have olive skin with soft facial hair (if that matters). Thanks

Answer
The settings absolutely do matter.
My goal is to use the highest settings possible to do the most damage to the follicle without harming the skin or the client feeling tortured. Hairs that are actively growing, in the anagen stage, should release easily, you should not feel that the hairs are being tweezed.
If I used the lowest settings on my machine, you wouldn't feel a thing except tweezing.

Answer
Thanks!
