Well, it has been a while since I have posted on here. Here is my story so far:
I started laser hair removal on chest and abs, I am being treated with a coolglide xeo. I have had a total of 3 treatments so far. My original goal was to get a good reduction, in density and thickness of the hair. My skin type is between a 3 - 4 depending on area. I am a few days away from going in for my fourth treatment.
Now for the big drumroll. What kind of results have I had?
Well, I have recieved a reduction in hair putting a percentage on it is not good because I think that is misleading, the hair is without a doubt heaps finer. Now dont get me wrong, I am pleased with the results. But If I was going in to this thinking I'd have 100% removal you would be disapointed. I still have hair there. But compared to before I am comfortable with the look at the moment and if it stays like this for life I wouldnt b fussed.
I am satisfied with the look of my chest at the moment. The chest will be having no more treatments.My abs, I'd like them to be cleaner, so I plan to do a few more treatments on them.
My experience so far has been pleasing yet if you want 100% removal go electrolysis, you will most likely be dissapointed.
The coolglide is a good laser, which has minimal side effects. So that is my story any questions please ask.

They said in terms of number of treatments it normally takes 6 + treatments depending on what your after. As I have recieved a reduction in density and thickness of hair on the chest already, they said I should recieve that after 3 treatments..which I have. So, will not be getting any more chest done..abs I'll continue in pursuit to get cleaner.
As for my treaments spacing...first one to second was at 6 - 8 weeks apart...second to third was arounnd 9 - 10 weeks apart... and I am about to go in again at it has been about 12 weeks.

normally you can't tell what kind of success you've had until months after your last treatment, 12 weeks is a long time since your last one though and if you're still hairless then you could be lucky. 12 weeks is probably a little longer than would be recommended but everyone is different, they say you should go back once you have something to treat, which is normally around 6-8 weeks. It takes about 6 months post treatment to really know how much hair will grow back.
If you can afford it i would stick to your program for another few treatments as most guys are only getting started with 3, i.e. after 3 treatments you should now have a lot of hair growing in sync with each other in the anagen phase of the growth cycle which is the only time you can kill the hairs. This is the time when your treatments are most effective, it takes a few treatments to get to this stage so your next few treatments will be more effective than the first 3.

I have had a big reduction and athestically it looks 100 times better than what it was. You could see hair on my body from 2 metres away. Now it looks like I'm bare. I'm not bare but it looks that way.

i know what you mean, it has been 5 months since my 13th treatment and from a few feet away you can't really notice, up close yes there are definitely a lot of hairs, no where near as many as there were when i started though and much lighter and finer and shorter too.
Maybe you weren't that hairy to begin with, i guess most guys that have laser are very hairy like me and so will require a lot more than 3 treatments to get any kind of decent reduction. I'm pretty happy though with my results, i'm going to wait another few months to see if there's any change and may just have 1 or 2 a year to keep what's left at bay.

Yes, your right I was never extremely hairy. However, I was no way near bald. I was probably average somewhere inbetween . I had my 4th treatment the other day this will be my final treatment, I have made the decision to stop regardless of the outcome. I know I'll have less hair than the 3rd. So, if eventually I want more reduction I'll go in for more.
