Question
Just wanted to pass this along - The nurse who did my treatement recommended that I shave with a single blade razor like the disposable ones you see at every lhr place. She said the multiple blade razors actually pull on the follicle as you shave and you don't wan't that, you want an intact follicle for the lhr.
I found this little tidbit interesting, would be nice if other folks would poll their techs and see what they have to say about this.

Answer
the only difference i see if not getting a close shave, which is ok i think and better for the tech because she can see where to treat if you have the type of skin/hair where you can't see where the hair was after you shave
Answer
Use whatever razor you prefer. Makes no difference. The reason businesses use single blade razors is $$$.
Answer
yes, but he gets irritation from shaving with this razor, that's why i suggested a 3 or 4-blade. that's the only razor i don't get irritation with and of course shaving gel (not cream)
Answer
Maybe I missed something here. My intent was that the tech uses the single blades because they are cheaper. Has nothing to do with multiple blades affecting the hair follicle.
I agree that multiple blades are less irritating to the skin.
Answer
So its just a myth? Why would she recommend it
Answer
Someone probably told her and she believed it or she's just confused about it. Unless you go through electrolysis school, you just don't learn as much about hair, how it grows, what it takes to destroy it, etc.
