LE or deef or other electrlogist - preferred method on areas

Question
Hi, do any of you have a preferred method on certain areas?
Some electrologists use blend on some parts, short-wave (thermolysis) on others...
Some ONLY use thermolysis...
Would any of you mind listing the most common areas (which I am guessing are):
underarms
breasts
bikinis
face/neck
stomach around bellybutton
And what methods you use on each? This would be GREATLY appreciated, thank you!!

Answer
I use thermolysis on all areas.

Answer
I prefer to switch back and forth between thermolysis (microflash) and the blend. It all depends on the hair I am treating. Generally speaking, I use thermolysis the most so my clients can leave an appointment ALL CLEAR of offending hair until the next ugly group pokes through the skin. So someone can stay looking clear in an area as we struggle through all those darn hair growth cycles just to reach the end.
For all the areas you mentioned, if it is an untouched area, (never had electrolysis), I will use thermolysis to clear it fast, followed by a combination of flash and blend when the new growth sprouts.
I like both methods and both will work fine. If the client asks for blend only, then I'm happy to oblige. It all depends on type of hair, client tolerance and how much hair over how large an area as to whether therm or blend is used.

Answer
personally, i've had better results with thermolysis than blend on nipple area.

Answer
Hi Blinky.
If the currents (A/C + D/C) aren't balanced correctly together when using the blend, then results won't be optimal. One current shouldn't be overpowering the other. I wonder if this is the reason you felt it wasn't as effective for you? Well, you're not expected to know this as a consumer, but I thought I'd offer the idea to you. At least you are getting results with thermolysis.

Answer
yes, I don't know why, but actually I switched electrologists. Maybe it's the skill too. For some reason, the first one thought that blend would be better on that area for me, but I saw that it caused more scabs etc and it seemed like it kept coming back and almost as thick in addition to being slower. she tried thermolysis, but couldn't get many hairs to respond with it. that electrologist had 2 yrs of experience. The new one has had 13 yrs and cowrote the CA state electrology exam, and she's been using thermolysis from the start. they both used the same new Apilus machine. I feel I am almost done after a few treatments and I don't really get scabs like I did before with this one. Plus, she's closer to me and price is same:)
