Laser treatment while breast feeding ok?

Question
Hi,
I am considering doing laser hair removal. I am breastfeeding right now. Will laser in anyway effect my milk? If so I will wait until my daughter weans herself.
Also,
I am so new to this and do not have allot of time to research this, but want to make sure I am going to someone who knows what they are doing. Can you reccomend a doctor in the San Diego area? I am in North county, Oceanside,Ca. to be exact. If I were to pick a doctor that I thought was good is there any risk they could do anything harmful to me if they were not good? Just curious. Would rather be safe than sorry! This is for chin hair removal and upper lip.
Am finally to the point where I want to start shaping my eyebrows up a little. What is the best method? I had them done for the first and only time when I got married two years ago. They were waxed and I broke out pretty good! Never did it again. Now I at 27 I am growing some nice size eyebrows! LOL I have been okay with them until now though.
Doc if you receive this message please answer. Thank you ahead of time.

To be honest, there is truly no risk whatsoever to the baby you are breastfeedin from your laser hair removal, but you will have a hard time finding any doctor to do it. In the world of lawsuits, doctors are scared witless of giving a pregnant or lactating woman so much as a Tylenol.
Since shaping the eyebrows is really a job for electrolysis, why don't you start with this while you are breastfeeding (even this may be a challenge)? When the baby is weaned (and your hormones are more stable) find a good doctor with more than one laser and much experience. I'm sorry I don;t know any offhand in San Diego. General searches will find you a few places where you can go and interview while you are breastfeeding (you have time!). I'm sure the search will yield a doctor you are comfortable with.
If you lived in Miami, I would give you the same advice, and see you when you were done breastfeeding.

Doc,
Thank you for all the info. Since you said laser hair removal would have no harm while breastfeeding, I scheduled and had it done. I didn't tell them I was breastfeeding. The results were AWESOME! I think I had fifty dark course (from chaving my chin) hairs and now I have a few. Like maybe 3 or 4 all together. Not all are dark and noticeable. they said it would take 4-6 treatments. I am fair to medium complected, not sure if that had anything to do with it. It was worth all $75.00 I paid! I haven't gone back and probably won't until I grow some more stuff! LOL
Thanks again!

In case anyone is interested, electrolysis on the brows can be done during pregnancy and nursing. It is not recommended for pregnant women on the breast or abdomen after the 6th month of pregnancy, or on the breast during nursing.
