IPL's vs LightSheer

Question
I am trying to see if anyone out there has had a positive experience with an IPL. Local clinic has IPL (would be very convenient), but in an earlier chat, Blink888 recommended that I look into the LightSheer (still looking for a clinic nearby that offers that). I am generally a type III with some areas close to IV.
Would love to hear from anyone who has been treated by either.

Answer
BRR, can you share your experience? or, abs, you can search for BRR's past posts. that's the only person continuously posting here who has had ok results with Aurora IPL (it's an IPL with RF technology). You can also just type in "IPL" into the search feature and read through previous postings.

Answer
I had Epi-light done. I'm type 2 skin. It's an older generation of Intense pulsed light. It's different than laser.
For example, you have to have some hair growth for it to work. I was advised to shave 3 days in advance, not immediately before.
The doctor who did it actually sent me home one day and rescheduled the appointment because my hair was too short (on my back).
After my third visit all the hair fell out, but promptly grew back finer. If you are looking for permanent removal, I wouldn't advise it based on my experience. But, if you want softer hair that is easier to wax, and shave, I think it did achieve that for me.
I am hairier now over all. Not sure if it was the light that stimulated growth or if I just got older, and naturally hairier.

Answer
i had 3 sessions of IPL in 1998 on my legs. The technology may have been different then but I spent $1100 and saw no difference. If anything, now the hair is coarser. I would go with candela gentlase. I have been treated with that now and have had 3 sessions and great results.
