Question
Ok so i have been reading this board yesterday and today. I am very white with black hair. I am assuming type 1. Between the 2 lasers i have written in the subject line which one would you think is better for me? and what joules level should i ask them to try and set it to if say i will be doing my back and shoulders? I have narrowed my search here in NY to a few laser centers that seem to have somewhat good pricing although are still expensive. feel free to PM me or post to the board regarding this subject

Both of these lasers are alexandrites, so either would work fine. Apogee Elite has a bit more controls of the settings and can also be a Yag laser. I would choose the best practitioners between the 2, the lasers are very comparable.

I can tell you about Cynasure elite that I have at my practice in Raleigh, NC. I find that the cooling system that this machine has makes the treatment a lot more comfortable. It cools the area by blowing a nonstop -4 degree cold air on the skin. It has the YAG and Alexandrite in one machine. Like blink888 said for your skin and hair color, alexandrite works well which should be comparable in both machines that you mentioned. Good luck to you...... Excellase
