I posted awhile back that I had a very bad (and frightening) reaction to the lidocaine cream applied just before my 2nd LHR treatment. This time (3rd treatment yesterday) the nurse applied ice packs instead. The pain was about the same as with the lidocaine cream. My advice: use ice packs instead of the potentially very dangerous lidocaine cream. I'm sure the clinics prefer the cream, because ice packs are more time-consuming. It's also a bit more difficult to ice all areas (I had a full brazilian and some of those areas were difficult to get to with an ice pack).

I've never used numbing cream but I have to say that ice packs do make a BIG difference.
