Question
Hi. I just had this done for me by my friend. She injected my forehead, brow and crow's feet - though, not much in that area as I have too many veins and very fine lines. It has been 4 days. My chief complaint: She hit a vein in my forehead and I had immediate bruising - much like one would get from acupunture. This is my first time with botox. The first day, I had a headahe and noticed tightness in my forehead. Today, I already think my forehead lines are lessening. However, I also noticed this today: I went to a movie, and noticed that when I started to cry, there was a strange pressure above my eyes. I have a slight sore throat and cough, but don't know if that is attributable to the drug. I do have transient itching and my forehead is sore (a bit) to the touch. All other areas are fine so far. The procedure was pretty much pain free and I am NOT into needles. My friend is very gentle and the needles were thin. The worst part is not wanting to be open about having it done. I'd like to take a poll... I don't want to anticipate anything going wrong, but I also want to know what you all have been through. Thanks!

Hi everyone.
I just had botox done today between my eyebrows and also around my eyes. On top of that, I had restylane done on the lines around my mouth (the ones my daughter calls fish gills). Well, the botox of course hasn't kicked in yet, but my forehead feels funny, kind of numb. My mouth is a little red from the injections, but I'm a little dissatisfied with that (restylane) because it's supposed to be immediate and I don't see a difference. Also, it was very uncomfortable. Anyway, just wanted to share and we'll see how I look in a few days.

There seem to be so many different reactions to botox and the other cosmetic enhancements.would anyone be willing to discuss their experiences over email?
You've probably seen the 'research calls' I have posted (I am the MSc student from Stirling University).I'm interested in the experiences of regular women. If anyone is keen to share and contribute I can send you a questionnaire to start off with-my email is .
I look forward to speaking to you.

Answer
Not for a million dollars would I try Botox again. I have had enough of a bad experience with it over the past year and a half that I had to quit my job. NO THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first injection really destroyed me. Became very ill and thought i was croaking. I made a last minute Will and Last Testament, all full of last minute good-byes and sentiments, I was crying at the time. I told my son [over the phone] this could be it David. Quite philosophical about it all. I recovered slowly. This week i refused free Botox, free on the UK Government Health Service.
My vote is No.
