any recommendations for Cinci area laser techs?

Question
Can anyone recommend a technician in the Cincinnati area? I have an appointment set up for January for a consultation/ free 1st treatment but I don't know how experienced the technician is or even how long it's been in business... I don't talk to anyone about my hair issues, so I don't know anyone who has had laser treatments in my area.

Answer
have u tried running a search on these forums for past experiences? also, what is your skin and hair type? depending on the laser you need, you can check the provider searches on the candela and cutera websites. they're laser manufacturers

Answer
I tried searching for "Cinci" and "cincinnati" and my post was the only one that came up... maybe I'm doing it wrong. I think I'm type II, I'm really pale and burn easily but will also tan, my hair is dark brown. The tech I'm going to next week is using an Alexandrite, guess I'll just find out how experienced they are when I go. I'm definately getting my chin and armpits done, thinking about doing bikini and happy trail areas also since reading some more posts on this site; it is all coarse and dark hair... Will have to see how much that will all cost. The tech said they charge $150 per 5 minutes.

Answer
it sounds like you are a very good candidate. alexandrite laser is a good one for you. make sure they use high enough settings. 18 joules and up if it's a GentleLASE alexandrite laser. from personal experience, i can tell you that bikini and underarms will work great. if you have a lot of hair on the chin and it's coarse, it's worth trying laser, but make sure settings are high and they don't treat any areas with sparse or barely any hair as doing that can sometimes stimulate more growth in some women. happy trail should work ok as well if the hair is coarse enough. the procedures on these small areas are pretty quick. 5 mins takes care of both underarms and 5 mins for most of the bikini.
