Answer
After having Brazilian waxing for years, I recently started LHR (lower legs, underarms, and Brazilian bikini). I would actually suggest you experiment a few times with Brazilian waxing before you decide on "permanent" hair removal. First, make sure you like the "hairless" feeling . . . some women don't. The skin in that area is very sensitive without hair. Also, it will give you a chance to decide on "style", i.e., full Brazilian, landing strip, small triangle, etc. Yes, Brazilian includes your bottom.
Waxing can be pretty embarrassing, as it is much more "hands on" than LHR. Also, the positions for waxing are crazy! For LHR removal I simply lie on my stomach and the tech can get to the areas with the laser wand without any trouble.
People who do waxing and LHR have seen it ALL, so don't feel as if you're asking for something strange.
I have found, BTW, that the hair in my more private "Brazilian" area is not responding to LHR as well as the standard bikini area, underarms or legs.
Good luck.

I had had my buttocks/crack area done twice now and I am sooo happy with the results so far but I just had the front bikini done a few weeks ago and I am not exactly sure on how I want my landing stip to look like and my laser tech is the only person around where I live who even does everything that I want done but she really didnt have any suggestions on how some people have theirs....I guess I was hoping for more ideas on how I would like mine to look.....is there any place out there that has pictures on how other people like/have theirs? Sounds funny/weird huh? I just want to be totally happy since this is permanent.
Thanks!

Answer
try shaving and experimenting. it's more about what you like. trends change as well. that's why i'm leaving a bit more so i can adjust. playboy and some provocative sites on the internet will give you ideas. in addition, you can google that topic and find a lot of discussion on it.

I have massive hair on my bikini line and thighs. I tried waxing last year and since then i've been getting a ton of ingrown hairs! The ingrowns are causing a lot of scarring and hyperpigmentation. I think I have to get laser done in this region. I was wondering if anyone could give me a price range for this. I wish I could wear a swimsuit again. ;(
oh, and I think I have PCOS and I am on Yasmin. This is month 2.

Answer
if you have pcos, make sure to get proper treatment first before starting laser treatments. pcos makes you produce hair regularly, so unless you have it under control, it will seem like you're not making progress. bikini area works very well with laser in general, especially if your skin is light and the hair is dark and coarse. depending on how much you want removed, prices range from $100-250 per treatment. You will need 5-6 treatments.

Answer
I want to get a bikini including the back end done, but my hair is fairly light. any suggestions?

Answer
how light is light? light brown can work, blond is tough. Your skin needs to be pretty white to try it because high settings need to be used for lighter hair. you can have a free consultation with someone with either an alexandrite or diode laser and get a few test spots done to see if shedding occurs within 2-3 weeks. if hair sheds, it has enough pigment to be targeted by laser. if not, then electrolysis is the option for you.
