I am thinking about LHR at Smooth Solutions. The areas I am wanting done is bikini, chin, lip, armpits and lower back. I will have to travel out of town to have this done so I was thinking of doing it on Friday..however, we are celebrating Christmas on Saturday so I am wondering if the work done on my face will cause very obvious redness and swelling?

It's hard to tell as each person reacts differently. From my experience (though, I've not had anything done with my face) is that there is a little redness, especially around the follicles, that lasted a short time. I don't think that the redness was there for much more than a day, MAX.

I use the same salon in Lewisville, TX and have had my (Type III) face done three times (with the alexandrite). We have used various settings, but I have noticed significant swelling for up to 6 hours; similar to an allergic reaction. Its okay the next day, but it concerned me quite a bit the first time, not knowing how bad it would get or how long it would be noticeable (and uncomfortable). Thanks for the info....maybe I shouldn't do my lip or chin this time. T i would love to talk to you about your personal experience at the Smooth Solutions in Lewisville before I go this week....my email is nicolebella at yahoo.com
