Question
I wanted to get your opinion (men and women) about men and hair on the shaft of their penis.
I just opened a Laser Hair/Vein removal clinic in Raleigh, NC. I am trying to attract customers, so I am offering grand opening special prices, lowest in NC and am bending over backwards to make sure customers are happy. I even gurantee that if they are not happy, I will give them their money back. So Being new, I do not want to turn a potential customer away.
However, Today I had a customer that wanted to have the hair on the shaft of his penis removed. I did a test spot for him on the area and it responded well. I have Cynasure elite with Yag and Alexandrite. However, I had never heard of anyone wanting to remove the hair on the shaft of their penis.
But I wanted to know, Are you guys out there concerned about this hair. I can see wanting the pubic hair removed but hair on the penis. Does this hair bother females out there?
I would really like to hear what you think?

Answer
You've never heard of anyone wanting this hair removed? What kind of training did you have? This area is extremely popular. There are many reason's men want this hair removed. It's painful to tweeze or wax, not to mention ingrowns. It gets caught in condoms and pulls. If shaved it can irritate a woman. If left to grow it can irritate a woman. And there are other reasons that I would think are obvious, but apparently not. Shaft hair is actually requested more than other male pubic hair. And if the client is TS, this hair should be gone before reassignment surgery.
Answer
I used to get waxed very regularly, and the woman who did my waxing had several male customers who have their shaft waxed.

trimming is the best choice for me
Answer
Yup, a hairfree penis is great! I have an appt for this next week and penis hair clearance is very important. The scrotum is also key and is an area that may not be easy to treat without some training and practice . I sure hope your business thrives and that your male clientelle appreciates the services you are providing!
BTW, the rock-bottom rate here in Texas (for your comparison) is $125 for a brazilian with package deals offering up to 25% off. I have never seen a money-back guaranty and think that your offer may not be reasonable for you to extend. Many clients should be satisfied with the offer of continued treatments for free (or a discount) over a period (e.g. 1 year) after completion of the purchased LHR package. I have a refund deal for unused treatments if I wish to stop my package deal early although I lose the prepay discount if I choose this option.

What type of schooling do you need to become a laser technician... where you can run your own business? I'm in nursing school (almost done) but I would be interested in helping others with this problem if it really works. I have to drive an hour to get my first laser treatment in January, so my community would benefit from resources closer to our area.... Just thinking ahead... Kaitlyn
Answer
Depends on what state you are in as to what the requirements are. Several states have legislation pending as to exactly who can use a laser and the training requirements. 30 hours training seems to be the minimum that will be required by most states. Some states will require anyone who is not a physician to obtain an electrolysis license before applying for a laser license.
Answer
Is there a "general" way to lookup the requirements for any given state? That is, how would the members here determine the requirements for practitioners in their area? Anyway, I hope that the training is sufficient if they are going to be removing my "shaft" hairs!
