Is my electrolysist doing it right?

Question
Hi, I have been going for electrolysis treatments for the last five weeks, once a week and getting 30 minutes each time on my chin and sideburns. I can feel every time the electrolysist shocks a hair, but after that it sometimes feels like she's plucking the hair out. Sometimes she just pulls on the hair gently and it slides out, but sometimes it really feels like she is plucking the hair out, even though I felt the electricity/heat on that same hair a second before. I've also noticed that she keeps a pair of tweezers near her equipment. This is the only electrolysist I've been to so I'm not sure whether or not this is normal. Has anyone had the same experience? Should I look for a new electrolysist? Thanks!

Answer
Having the tweezers is normal. Every hair your electrologist treats is removed with a pair of tweezers. Sometimes you may feel that a hair is being tweezed or plucked, but it shouldn't be many. It's usually hairs that are in the inactive stage of growth, those roots are different, and tend to tug sometimes. Properly treated hairs in the active stage will just slide out as you have experienced as well.
Talk to your electrologist about it before looking for someone else.
