I am a female, 34 years old, looking for a good place to go for LHR in NC. I live in the Raleigh area.
I would like to have my bikini area, legs and maybe underarms done. I have fair skin and dark hair. I believe my skin tipe is either II or III.
Does anyone know a good place/clinic/NP in my area? any recommendations? laser type/s?

Hi - I just found a really good place in Charlotte, NC. I'm not sure how far you are from Charlotte, but I've talked to a few other clients and they travel from all over NC to go to this clinic. Thank you for your info, HairyinCLT. Charlotte is really far away from where I live, it's about 3 hours drive. That package that you mention looks really good though. I already went to the place that was recommended to me by Licensed Electrologist and I like it a lot, it is in Raleigh.
I like this place because the technician is very skilled and she seems to know what she is doing. She is a certified laser specialist, which gives me some guarantees. But what I really like about it is that she (the technician) has 3 different laser machines and she performs a test on your skin to see which method/laser will be best for you. I went there last week and she did that test on my leg. Everything went fine I guess. My first concern was the pain, but it wasn't that bad.... not as bad as waxing.
I will have my legs, bikini area and underarm done; my first appointment to start the treatment is next Thursday; I do not know yet which laser she will use: diode or NDYag.
I am really excited about it. No more waxing!!!! I hope.

Please avoid getting treated on any "peach fuzz", especially on the phase. This is how a lot of people get MORE stimulated growth by laser. Laser only works well on dark and usually best on coarse hair. Run a search for "laser stimulated growth" to see what I'm talking about. The clinic you are going to is a chain and they offer this deal in every city. Make sure you do a lot of research and follow the settings they are using on you etc very carefully. Also, the machine you are using is an IPL with RF technology, not a true laser like alexandrite or diode. Either way, none of these machines treat ALL hair colors. That's a myth they use to sell packages. Aurora's RF technology might work on some lighter hair on some people (not blond, possibly light brown etc), but for most treating that hair can actually stimulate dark hairs growing in instead of blond peach fuzz. Please do a lot of research on this. We don't want you to end up being another miserable person posting here in a few months with those kind of results.
