Laser Perfect Network

Question
I just had a consultation with a Dr. at Laser Perfect (google and select the .net name). Its not new but I just found them; does anyone here have any experience with this company?
They hire physicians with some experience in LHR (my doc is young and has 3 yrs exp in LHR) and the doc makes rounds of local spas providing the service. The fees are paid to the spa (or directly by net or phone using a credit card). BTW, the price was very attractive; for the Dallas area, the prices are 50% off until the end of the year. And packages can reduce it by another 15% to 20%. I am a bit skeptical, so I would like to hear comments and opinions. Still, its spa-based, physician administered, has more oversight than a single office might,....

Answer
Still curious. Has anyone got any comments? Do the pros here know about them? I had my consult and felt good about their assessment. They use the Apex 800 Diode laser and say all the right things. I will hopefully move forward this week and give 'em a first shot for a treatment and then move forward...

Answer
Here's my two cents worth, i think that you are being scammed just be carful mate

Answer
It kinda makes me wonder why a person who spends all that time and energy to become a doctor and then does LHR.

Answer
Hmmm, there is certainly the possibility its not effective. It IS curious that I have yet to get a response on any of the boards from someone who even knows about them (let alone a "customer"). I will get referrals to learn more. What makes you suspicious, moon? Is it the price, process, or staffing?
The doc says that she did LHR during her med school days and is now doing this gig while prepping for a residency, so she says that she has less than a year to go with LP. That does mean that the staff is not likely to be around for the long term. However, that is true of several other places as well, where turnover occurs. I will keep y'all posted as I learn more.... Thx for the feedback!

Answer
I just had my first appointment with the (female) doctor from Laser Perfect to treat my full back, buttocks, and frontal genital region. The doc is very kind, professional, attentive, and we chatted during the procedure. She was very helpful and willing to make sure that the service was complete. She used an Apex 800 Diode at 30joules, 30ms, 9mm spot size on my type II/III skin (dark brown hair). The sensation was like a hot dull knife blade traveling across my skin; it feels like it "almost" pierces the skin. The slight irritation lasted only 2-3 hours after which I cannot even notice that I was treated.
I went to the Grand Spa in Dallas, which is a very nice salon with many services; the contract with Laser Perfect brings their doctor and her equipment there every two weeks. They advise that I should have my treatments every 6 to 8 weeks, so my next appointment is Feb 2. The spa has a pleasant seating area where I sat in a terry-cloth robe to wait for my treatment. I had shaved my own groin area and backside in advance, but she sheared my back for me, leaving just 1 mm or 2 of hair. This was very helpful since I HATE shaving my back.
As for the perennial erection question, I was worried as well. My solution was to "relieve" myself a few hours before and to have a glass of wine as well. [:I] This seems to have worked as I had no such "problem" and found that the embarrassment was minimal. She asked permission to have another young lady in the room during the genital treatment; our guest sat quietly in the corner and probably could not see much. The scrotum and perineum are considered as a separate area (my first post was not correct) so I have elected to do those areas later (I'll just have to shave those parts for awhile...). Thus, I only had frontal pubic area, penis shaft, and inner thighs treated. I removed my skivvies and she did place a towel over me while treating the “neighboring” areas. I did not need to move much (unlike for waxing) since the laser can reach around quite a bit, so I was like a frog being dissected on a massage table (belly up, feet together, knees apart). []
At this point, I have two concerns: (A) I was surprised that she performed the treatment with a bit of hair still remaining above the skin (on my back). (B) The treatment did not really hurt (just a slight sting), so I wonder if it really killed any hair?
I’ll report back on this in three weeks after shedding. Merry Christmas, y’all!

Answer
if you can barely feel the treatment, it's a good sign that the settings are a bit too low. find out what settings they're using to make sure they're treating you at high enough levels.
