Question
...and not very coarse either..
What do you think I should do?
Also, if I get laser hair removal, will there be temporary scarring I'll have to somehow hide from the world before it all ends?

Answer
if your hair is not very dark or coarse, you should probably get electrolysis instead. laser would be an overkill. there might be a bit of scabbing with electrolysis, but nothing you can't cover with makeup for a few days. I don't have any issues doing it. Laser doesn't have side effects when used correctly, except your hair grows until it falls out after treatment, which can takes 2-3 weeks. you can shave in between but might have some stubble.

I'm a consumer who has done a lot of research. i'm currently getting both electrolysis and laser treatments.
electrolysis is a method of removing hair using heat with a special machine by inserting a needle and sending a heat pulse into the follicle. it's definitely permanent (some would say more than laser for most people even), it just takes longer because you are treating each hair one by one. but for small areas and fine hairs, it's the best way.
