Hello - I've just had my 3rd treatment on my face (specifically - sideburns, chin and upper lip) and I found that after each treatment the way my face looked and felt differed (got better). My first treatment was the most painful and after the treatment, my face was very red and I could see red bumps where the laser had zapped the hairs and there was swelling and it took a few days before it cleared and actually hurt for the few days. My second treatment was a lot less painful and cleared within a day and my third treatment was about the same as my second in terms of pain and after it only took a few hours to clear. I have seen a large reduction in the hair since my first treatment but was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or if anyone knows if the fact that it is less painful and the "recovery" is quicker means there is less hair and/or finer hair or if it is not working as well.

it's normal. first treatment is usually the worst because hair is most dense
