Answer
what is your skin and hair type? this is not a laser, it's an IPL. You will most likely get better and faster results with a true laser. Need to know your skin/hair type to suggest a specific laser type. where are you located?
Answer
Skin is light with very dark beard hair. Located in MA, the medspa is Sleek and they promote Laser Hair Removal.
Answer
you will get better results with either an alexandrite or a diode laser. IPLs are not as effective and take longer to acheive the same results as they're not made specifically for laser hair removal. Have at least 3-4 consultations before you make your final decision. For recommendations in your area, you can try using the search box on this forum.

I have had several prople in the field tell me that results with this particular piece of equipment have been great, have you heard anything negative regarding it? I appreciate your feedback.
Answer
the only people who praise it are the ones that make money with it. if you read this and other forums with consumer feedback, you will see that there is a high unsatisfaction rate with IPLs in comparison with lasers. A lot of people who try IPLs don't see results, and then see them after laser treatments. In the best case scenario, it will just take more treatments, i.e. more expensive, to get the same results. Plus, a lot of people report hair not reducing from those treatments, but rather coming in finer after a while, nevertheless all coming back.
IPLs are marketed very well, but that is not a good reason to use the machine from a consumer's standpoint. they are cheaper machines than lasers and can do a variety of skin procedures. Hair removal is sort of an afterthought on them. hair removal lasers are made specifically for hair removal. i'm not telling you what to do, just summarizing information you will find all over unbiased consumer forums. i encourage you to do your own research. just keep in mind when you decide WHO the feedback is coming from. if someone's making money off of it, it's probably not a good idea to take their word as 100% truth.
