Permanent Hair Reduction

Question
Hi, I'm 19 year old male and have a lot of hair. I'm incredibly self conscious about it, however, I do not wish to permanently remove all of it, since guys are in fact supposed to have hair. But I would like to thin out the hair. I'd like to do it in my arms, stomach/chest and legs. If I could I would actually like to permanently remove hair on my stomach and just leave a little on my chest... Would electrolysis be a good way to go and is there any type of information I need to know?
Thanks
Also, could any give me a rough estimate of the time it would take and the price.

Answer
Hi Kbx.
Electrolysis is hair by hair so you can selectively choose to remove every third hair or every fifth hair to thin an area with no problem. Electrolysis works on any color or size hair on any skin color.
You could do electrolysis for the areas you describe, however, you may want to consider speeding things up with a laser on the abdomen since you want total removal there. Then, electrolysis can be used to grab the hairs that are left behind after laser has reached its limitations.
If you find a skillful, speedy electrologist to do the thinning in other areas, you would be very pleased.
Without seeing you, it is impossible to predict how long and how much. Generally speaking, it is likely that you would need to have weekly appoinments for at least a year if you have as much hair as you describe on such large areas. I really think a good laser tech along with a good electrolgist, with both utilizing good equipment will help you reach your goals.
