Am I doomed?

Question
I posted this earlier and didn't get a response, so I'm trying again.
My mom struggled with excess hair on her face all her life. When she died, she had sideburns, a moustache, a bristly chin, a patch under her lower lip, and long straggly eyebrows.
I was OK for a while, but did two years of electrolysis on my chin and upper lip about 17 years ago. Tough case.
Then menopause hit and all hell broke loose. I'm dealing with chin, upper lip, and abnormally long peach fuzz on my face and neck. It's not all dark, but a lot of it is and it's all about half an inch long. My eyebrows are also getting longer.
I'm on HRT but it hasn't made any difference. In fact, my doc prescribed testosterone cream but I stopped using it fast because it made the hair problem worse.
I hate to think about going back to electrolysis, especially since my skin is sensitive and it leaves red marks on my upper lip. Waxing makes my face break out. And tweezing irritates my chin.
Any hope for me? I see the future looming and it's not pretty.

Answer
Are you seeing an endocrinologist about your hormone problem, or your primary care doctor? You may want to ask your local electrolysis center about doctors they recommend that see and treat hirsuitism regularly.
Laser and electrolysis are both great permanent removal methods, but laser is faster for any area bigger than, say, the upper lip.
Get an in-depth hormone evaluation, then find an experienced laser hair removal center.
