Answer
there is no best laser for everyone. it depends on your skin and hair type. look up the Fitzpatrick skin chart online and tell us what your skin type is. Type I-IV, alexandrite and diode type lasers are best. Type IV or darker, Yag lasers are the only ones that are safe and won't burn darker skin.
Btw, Cutera is a laser manufacturer. They make all kinds of lasers. You need to ask for a model and name of the specific laser.
Also, you need to be looking for an experienced tech besides the type of laser. That's what going to give you the best results.

Answer
The tech said my skin type is 4. I checked the chart and it seems about right. So which would be the right type of laser for my skin? Also I'd like to know what I should be looking for in a Tech and what questions are important to ask.

Answer
there is a post on the main page that is called "CONSULTATION FORM". You can use the questions from there. You can also search this board (use the search feature above) to find recommended clinics in your area if there are any). With a type IV, you can safely be treated with a Yag laser. Cutera for example has one called Coolglide. You can also possibly be treated with a diode laser, like LightSheer, but the tech has to be very knowledgeable to avoid burning your skin. Diodes are more effective on fine hair in general. Either diode or Yags are good on coarse hair. There are various Yags made by different manufacturers. Make sure to do a lot of research, so you can judge better if the tech is reliable.
