Urgent help needed

Question
Earlier today I used Nair under my arms and have had a horrible reaction--the area that's right around where the hair used to be is red, extremely painful to the touch, and now some bumps (blisters?) are forming there. I called Nair and they said to use a vinegar solution, but it's not helping. Is ice OK? Any other ideas?
I'm flying out tomorrow, and I really have no time to sit for hours in the ER.

Answer
You have a chemical burn, most likely. Did you spot test (like the bottle recommends) the day before?
Treat it like any other burn....ice is fine, but apply Neosporin to any open blisters or sores, keep it moist with a good moisturizer like Lubriderm, an stay 100% out of the sun (wear sleeves) until it is completely healed.
