Question
Hi there everyone
For those who are worried about eyelid droop - some positive feedback.
I am from England and had my first shot of Botox 3 weeks ago. I had botox in my frown lines as I felt that I looked a bit severe and have been conscious of my frown lines for some time.
I asked the consultant about possible side effects and they did mention drooping eyelids, but said it was very rare and that if it occured it would wear off in a few weeks.
Initially, I was very pleased with the treatment, but after 9 days my left eye looked half closed. After one week my eye droop has improved considerably. My droop now is only very slight and hardly noticable. I did not use any drops or do any exercises.

There are a couple of types of "droops" that affect the look of the eye. Eyelid droop caused by drifting botox into the lid tends to improve quickly.
On the other hand, when the muscles above the eyebrow are injected, and the whole eyebrow drops slightly, that too will push the eyelid tissue down and cause excess skin there. This tends to give some people a "cat eye" and droopy lid look. This type of droop can last much longer, 4,5 or 6 months.
So, the recovery time depends on how much and where the botox is injected.
