Fluid-Filled BUBBLES/BURNS

Question
On my second hair-removal treatement on my legs, I had alot of very , swelling, large red spots and shooting pain in my legs when I walk. Treatment was done two days ago. I showed the nurse and she said the laser setting was too high. She called it "histamine reaction". I don't believe it's histamine reaction. I think it's burns from the laser. I'm worried it will result in permanent scarring. Did anyone else have this experience??? Did it leave scars or any other permanent damage???

My experience is somewhat similar. Here's what is happening to me. I thought it might help you to know you are not alone. Although I have no answers for you.
On Tuesday I received my first laser hair removal treatment with a GenteLase laser. I had the treatment done on my chin, the top 1/3 of my neck, and my upper lip.
Today (Saturday) I am still swollen and according to my dermatologist who I saw yesterday, I have a nasty case of folliculitis caused by the laser. The practionner who did the treatment said he used a 15 mm tip at 30 joules, which my doctor said is rather high.
Does anyone have any experience with this? My physician put me on a steroid cream and a topical antibiotic ointment. What are my risks for scarring? My skin is not broken but it is swollen, red, itchy, and painful with raised bumps that look like white-heads. Is this unusual? I am not allowed to take oral steroids because I am nursing an infant.
Any thoughts, comments, or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.

Answer
some skin reacts in this way. it's usually on a face after laser though, haven't seen many posts about it happening on the legs. did your legs have any tan on them? what is your skin and hair type?
