Answer
Bleaching only affects the portion of the hair that is above the skin's surface, so yes, if the roots are dark, the laser will treat them.

Answer
don't forget, the skin should be shaved before the treatment and since the roots are dark, you will be fine.

Answer
is it absolutely vital to shave the area? i ask because i never wanted to shave any hair on my face, i just cant see myself doing that

Answer
it is because you want the full laser energy to go to your roots and not waste it on the hair above the surface. plus, the hair wil be burned and can cause burns to your skin. shaving won't increase your hair growth, it's myth.
