Hi, i'm M/25. I am experiencing no obvious growth on top of my head. And everytime i comb, strands of hair falls out, both long and short ones. I have heard that there is a period where hair stops growing and sheds for awhile. But how long is this while actually? Mine has been going for 1.5 months. And i do have receding hairline.
I am worried esp when i have just entered a relationship. Pls help. Thank god there is such a forum to express my feelings. I'm shy to talk to anyone about my situation.

sorry. I forgot to add something.
Does scratching of hair scalp causes loss of hair? Does dandryff cause that too?
Can smearing coconut oil improve hair quality?

Thru i know how you feel buddy.I can tell you that scratching your head wouldnt make you lose hair.Unfortunatley you sound like you may have male pattern baldness .Does you father have a balding head at all or any other relatives in your fathers or mothers side?Can you tell me how old you are at all?There are things that can be done to prevent further hairloss apart from getting a hair transplant.Please swing me a email and ill try and help you out further if you would like me too.

Hi,
A HT will only put hair where it has been going bald.It certainly wont stop any others areas from balding!

Thanks for your reply. But can you suggest me something that can at least prevent baldness.
If i undergo hair transplant for some specific area of head then after a span of time if i get bald from another region of my head, again i have to undergo hair transplant for another part of the head. I guess this is really long process.
Can u give me any substitute of it.

Hi .All i can suggest is for you to take something like Propecia which will maintain the hair that you do have left.Unfortuntely we dont have a crystall ball which can tell us if we are going to lose anymore hair.All you can do is take preventatative steps towards it.
