Make things Easier for a NYer..... PLease Advise NYC clinic

Question
hi, every one, New reader, and new poster. I want to thank every one who actually contribute to these forums, it's very helpfull for others.
I am a 23 years old middle eastern who should be a great candidate for LHR. very hairy, light skin and very dark hair, allways get tan, never burn, i think i fall in the skin type of v, or iv.
I have 3 questions for all those who have done this procedure. After reading forums i found out NYCs recomended clinics are Romeo& Juliet and Dermatech. I didn't see any follow ups or technician names, so i like to know if there are any one who WILL PERSONALY RECOMEND A CLINIC WITH A TECH.
2nd question is what will be the best machine and setting for me. I don't really care about pain, I JUST WAT TO GET IT OFF. lol
3rd what are all the guarantees that are going around. Romeo Juliet sound like a great one, if any one knows a good technician who performed i love to go to.
In order to give back to the forums as much as i recieved, i would make a weekly BLOG and post up, with the rates, and all of the other details. I belive if this LHR help me, every one should do it. Even though i seen some harier guys than me, but I HATE MY HAIR LOL>... and i am being nice.
THANKS EVERY ONE< if any one like to email me, please don't hesitate..
would appriciate any recomandation.
Ps. I will also make a link with pics through out the process, something i haven't seen, should be helpfull also.

if your skin is type IV or V, it's definitely on the darker side, not light, so a Yag laser should be used. Romeo&Juliet uses an Apogee laser which has both the Yag and the alexandrite settings. They would be able to determine best if you're light enough for alexandrite and how high of settings they can set on it. If they don't think you're light enough, they will use a Yag setting. Christian is the owner there and he's a moderator on another forum. I would talk specifically to him and have him recommend the best tech. He is very knowledgeable on hair removal. I believe someone said L is a good tech there as well.
Good luck.

Answer
LightSheer is a diode laser and best for skin type I-IV, but not darker than that. For darker skin colors, it would burn the skin at fluences high enough to actually kill the hair. Insurance doesn't cover laser treatments. It's considered a cosmetic procedure. $200 is very cheap for back treatments even in LA. I haven't seen a big difference in prices from LA to NYC, I think it's mostly from clinic to clinic. $400 is a more common price across the US. That's why you should have a couple consultations to find the clinic with the best deal. I wouldn't just take the price factor in consideration, the experience of the tech is most important to achieve results. That's what you should be primarily looking for since $200 per treatment is still a lot of money, and I'd rather pay $400 per treatment and get good results than $200 and get poor results.
There are probably some studies being done. I personally don't know of any or how to find them. If you do find something, please post the information if you can.
Good luck.
