Electrolysis on bottom lip and strays?

Question
Last question for now. Underneath my bottom lip I have blonde soft peachfuzz . In the middle of that I have maybe 3 black hairs that I never noticed untill recently. My question is what should I do. I am looking into electolysis for my upper lip so should I have these other hairs done too. Is there a possibility that if I do that more black hairs will grow in its place. I need to go get my hormones checkes because I have little black strays on my chest (3hairs), 1 stray hair on each side of my face that I pluck then the upper and lower lip. Should I have all this treated or just leave them alone? Please help me! By the way I did IPL on mu upper lip and it didnt work should i do a different laser on upper lip and do elecro on the stray hairs. Im so confused!!

Answer
For what you describe, a skilled, professional electrologist can clean you up very fast. When I do the upper lip, I also shop around for those crazy wild hairs on the face and zap them while I'm at it. Doing the under lip is part of the deal, too. If I see there are offending blondies they are treated. If they are in the wrong stage of growth, they will be back in 6-13 weeks generally speaking. Just make sure you get back to see your electrologist in a timely fashion to treat any regrowth while they are in the growing phase.
You do not need laser for these areas especially if the hairs are light. IPL will most likely disappoint you.

If a man was getting his upper lip done how long would that take? I have nothing like a man i just want to know worst case scenario. The IPL was pointless for me. I still post in the laser section because I am terrified of electroysis. Im afraid of the pain and then getting those white bumps and burned. In the long run I want to be hair free so thats why I am now considering electroysis. I am waiting on one place to call me back for a consultation. They do a test spot is that normal? Will I have any complications because I have a treatment with the IPL a month ago. Thanks so much for everything!

Answer
An IPL treatment a month ago won't play a role in getting electrolysis done now. Electrolysis really isn't as bad as so many ppl think it is. I guess maybe if you were getting the blend method and they had to leave the needle in for several seconds it might hurt...I wouldn't know, because I only get short wave done. But my electrologist told me she's using a fairly strong "zap level" (sorry to the professionals, I don't know the right term) and I still lie there and chat away (getting trail under belly button done). It hurts in some areas, which is just natural, and I wouldn't doubt the upper lip is rather sensitive and delicate, but like you said...you don't have a man's upper lip. We're not talking 1 hair every 1/100th of a milimeter here. You'll be fine. No pain, no gain, and the test spot will give you a perfect indication of what to expect. Just stay away from laser removal. If you want to get rid of the hairs, electrolysis is your answer. And no, it doesn't INCREASE your hair growth. No worries like that with this procedure.
