Going to Manhattan Laser Hair Removal Center tomorrow...

Question
Has anyone been to this particular office (on 57th St)? Good reviews? Bad reviews? Is there a better place? Is there a specific tech I should ask for? I haven't seen this place mentioned so I don't know how good it is. They were, however, very prompt and informative when answering my questions.
I've been to Romeo and Juliet before, and I can't say I cared too much for it. Maybe it was just the tech I spoke to there, but she seemed inexperienced. Let me know what you guys think! I'm a newbie here.

Answer
Just got back from Manhattan Laser Hair Removal Center. The tech I spoke to, Tina, was very friendly and knowledgable. She was a bit pushy on buying a package deal though and seemed too cautious (repeatedly saying that most people need 7 treatments on their legs and that you have to come in twice every year for touch ups, etc.). What I liked, however, was that she seemed experienced and mentioned how she likes to mix her shortwave and long pulse machines for better results. She also said something about having no problem with higher settings. Only major drawback was the prices. They seemed a bit steep. Doing full legs (1 treatment) is $600. Doing full arm and leg (6 treatments) is $750 (package deal). What do you guys think about those prices? I'm thinking of trying advanced dermatech next. Will let you know how that goes.

Answer
She had the Apogee 9300, which I hear is just as effective as gentleLASE and the gentleYAG, which is good for people with darker skin or who just have a lot of hair. Their package deal comes with 6 treatments, so I assume that's how many they think will be needed for hair to be gone. However, Tina is very up front about the possibility of needing more treatments (especially for the legs). Maybe a little too up front...if you know what I mean. When I said $750 before I meant for EACH treatment, if you choose to get the package, not for the whole six. If you don't take the package (which I didn't want to) you have to pay $600 per treatment and that's only for legs, not arms.
She also said that the face is $300-400 per treatment. I don't know about other body areas, because when I heard those prices I choked a little. (This coming from someone who actually has thousands saved for laser hair removal, just so you know.)

Answer
Another technician in NY that I go to charges me for $400 for fulll leg, $100 for bikini and $50 for perianal/areola. Those are prices per treatment and you don't have to commit yourself to getting more treatments than you actually need. The only thing that she does not accept credit card. So far I had 4 treatments and 95% of my hair is gone.

Answer
Wow, that sounds like a great deal spainstudent. Who are you going to?
I have an appointment at advanced dermatech, so I'll post their prices soon after my consultation.
