What works on Blonde Hair?

Question
I am interested in having hair removal done on my legs, but the problem is I have light skin and blonde hair. I am concerned about the effectiveness of this. I was told that the Aurora system works. Please let me know if this is the best laser for my type of hair and if you have had it done and what type of results you had. Thanks

Answer
Electrolysis will definately work. However, it would take FOREVER!! I understand that the Aurora should work because it uses radio frequency along with the IPL. By the same token, the Comet should also work.
I've got medium brown and light brown hair and the Aurora has worked for me. Of course, that isn't blond. It would be nice for the fair haired people who've tried treatments with the Aurora or Comet to comment on their expriences.
Also, I've been told by Auroratechs that the lighter hairs take more treatments to get good results as opposed to darker hair.

Answer
constant wave units can use a dye that attracts the laser.
long wave do not
ask what type of wave the machine uses before wasting your money.
or better yet , with blonde fine hair .. Wax ... after a few times the hair come back sparse. the upkeep is once a month. the more you wax the sparser the hair and longer the grow back time.
I have dark hair and once a month up keep is all I need and it is so sparse I use a epila hair puller on my legs. No more painful than the laser. less time and alot less money and it can be used on the sensitive areas also.
I be nervous having anything that can vaporise hair that close to my weeha.. think about it......
hair follicles can live deep within the dermis and until the laser has reached every one, new hair growth will occur.
Rule of thumb for most things in life... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
the cheap hair removal systems are very time consuming. you may die of old age before removing all the hairs from one leg.
The cheap units work on one hair at a time" fine for upper lip,
small problem areas. most of these cannot burn you and are more the long wave vaporisers , which still can result in semipermanent hair removal, they just take more time.
I'd wax.
and ya know what ..?? I sell laser systems,

Answer
waxing doesn't really cause hair to become sparse. i can attest to that from personal experience as well. it can actually cause the hair the become more coarse because you stimulate blood supply to the follicle which is what the hair feeds on. the finer hairs get more coarse that way as they get stronger.
