Question
I am a PA and have been administering botox injections for almost a year now. I feel very confident with the upper face areas but I am very hesitant with the lower face. This is primarily due to inexperience, (the ob/gyn I work under only does upper face as well), but also due to the fact that most experiences I've read about in this area are not pleasant ones. Anyone out there, especially practioners, with any advice or anything to share? Besides Carruther's tapes and conferences, do you know of any good educational resources?
Thanks

Answer
K, I'm not a practitioner. But, from all I've read, Botox should not be administered on the lower face as it ruins the smile and normal facial expression assoiciated with positive emotions. Not only that, some have experienced drooling as a result of botox injection near the mouth. That would be a big price to pay for any possible improvement.

Answer
That's exactly why I am not performing injections in the lower face. I was hoping to see a bright side to it, but it seems that even the most experienced avoid it as well.
Thanks
