Or is this just a guy thing? I have some hair there I'd love to get done I'm embarrassed to say, but am I the only one? Don't even know if I have the courage to say it to a technician - definitely wouldnt to a man.

I've had one client do the buttocks area. Trust me after doing brazilians (even done some on men!) all day, one butt does not make a difference. If it's an area that bothers you go for it, just make sure the hairs are dark, not blonde!

from reading a lot of these postings, you will see that women get all kinds of areas done, buttocks included. don't be embarrassed. exprienced techs have seen it all. treat them as doctors in that sense.

Ok Licensed Electrologist, I can't help but ask...what's it like doing electro on the perianal region?!?!?!
Like, I get my stomach done, so I lie on the little bed, close to the edge, and my electrlogist pulls her chair up to the edge of the bed and pokes away at me with her arms kind of on my stomach for support and comfort and we chat away.
Now HOW would you go about electro in *that* area?!! I know it's a ridiculous question, but I just can't fathom it. And you have your mirror that magnifies everything, right? Do you have to like, bend down and put your head down close to that area? Is the patient wearing any underwear? God I hope so...

Different positions for different people. Whatever works, basically. Some lie on their stomachs, some lie on their side facing away from me. And yes, I use a magnifying lamp and my head is very close to them. And I lean on them for support just as your electrologist leans on you. The first time the clients feels awkward, it's only natural, but once they realize hair is hair to me, it's all good.
And most do wear a thong or skimpy panties that can be moved about for access.

I have been looking into getting my perianal area done for this past year.....I finally made my appointment a week ago and go on the 18th of August. I really cant afford it but I have a little money set aside and am looking for a second job just to get this done....I wish it wasnt so expensive but I would LOVE to feel TOTALLY comfortable with myself. I can let you know how it goes if you want.....are you going to get it done?

Well, I have some stroy to tell about the subject. Since I got 4 treatments done on my butt crack, the hair on my buttocks became visible. I was not even aware of it before! It is not coarse, but dark; so once I am done with my full leg and bikini, I am probably going to ask my tech to do it.
Anyway, don't be shy, the technician are almost like doctors, they have seen it all!!!

I am type 2 on my legs and 3 in my bikini. The tech has been using alex (although I am not sure which one) on 25 joules. I am very happy with the results: I would say 95% of it is gone. It has been about 2.5 weeks after my 4th treatment. I just noticed about 7 hairs on the left side of my bikini, which are annoyingly visible. I am hoping my tech will agree to zap them (in my case touch ups are not included). I also have small amount of really thin white hairs on my legs, which are hardly noticable, even if you look closely. Hopefully, I will only need 1 or 2 more treatments. Afterwards, I might want to do my armpits and buttocks.

I'm a hairy but female. I Have thick coarse hair all over my butt, inner thighs and back of legs. I shave it and it grows back within hours, and gets very irritated, red and bumpy; its awful and miserable. It sucks because I am actually an attractive girl who has to go through life hiding this extremely embarrassing part of myself. My boyfriend asked me once if I shaved my but because he felt stubble and I thought I would die of embarrassment. I am thinking of getting a loan out to pay for the treatment, my biggest concern is that it won't work and I will waste thousands of dollars, plus interest with no results.

the coarser is the hair and the lighter the skin, the better the results. luckily for most people that area is not tanned, so if you're naturally very light skinned, it should help. all the places where i've had my procedure done took credit cards. it shouldn't cost more than $200 per treatment on the butt I think, maybe even less. depends on where you are. get a few consultations and compare prices. good luck.

I had my 1st treatment on my buttocks done on September 6th. She used 18j and most of it wasnt that bad but sometimes there would be a pretty painful burning pain.....but I never did have any burns..... I had a few red spots but that is it. It is still nice and smooth.....havent seen if there is any shedding but it is harder to tell I guess since it is my butt
But now I thought when they did my butt that they would do my crack also....I really wanted that done too but she was saying there is only 1 person in town who does this.......do you have any idea why? It really isnt that much more hair and I would really like to be fully free of hair there as well.

it really just depends on the personal decision of the tech. most of the ones I've encountered are comfortable doing that area. if you ask her and she really doesn't want to and you don't have any commitments to her, you can try finding another tech who won't mind. it's really just a personal preference.

I agree with blink, go ahead and try to find someone else if you want that done.
I'm getting that done as part of my bikini and they told me that was really common.
