How safe is electrolysis? Can blood borne diseases be spread by electrolysis? Do Certified electrologists use chemicals to disinfect their hands? Do they wear disposable latex gloves? I also heard that they usually initially test with different probes to see the size of your hair follicles - do they use disposable probes all the time? And should I ask my electrologist about these things? Do I have the right to ask her to open the new probe/needle before my eyes? I'm really scared - what are the risks? Please help!

has anyone heard of hep C being contracted by electrolysis? can it be spread if the needle holder is not sanitized?
