Great question! I've just recently heard of it as well and I have put out a bunch of calls to friends in the business to see if they have any experience with it. I will happily post any info here and hope that someone on these boards has had experience with it. I sounds like a great product, but....does it really work? I would think that if they have been around since 2001 everyone would have caught on already, who knows.

check out this website

It seems that the inventor of Meladine has had some "issues" in the past with hair removal claims. Interesting stuff. I still want to talk to someone who's actually used it - it could be the breakthrough we are waiting for.

Answer
I've had several clients try it unsuccessfully. I heard at a seminar in the spring that it was being taken off of the market because it doesn't work.

Answer
Thanks so much for all the replies.
I've gone through about 3 bottles and I don't think it did anything. We tried a test location where I have been applying it during my last treatment and I can't see any reaction-- I'll give it a few more days to see if anything surfaces.
I asked at my clinic over and over if they really think it works and they could not give me a direct testimonial. Only indirect like "we found that some color was absorbed at the root when we did some electrolyis" or "we've heard a lot of success stories". It seems maybe both they and I are duped!
Now I am wondering how painful and how expensive electrolysis is.

Answer
electrolysis is not that painful on most areas and costs on average $60 per hour. it's great on smaller areas.

I purchased 3 bottles from Sona between my third and fourth treatment, to eliminate the grey hairs amongst the brown hairs. I used it diligently, as per instructions. It didn't do anything. Sona refunded the price of the unopened third bottle - barely any $ since, I forget the exact numbers, but it was something like $50 for first bottle, $35 for second, and $10 for third, and they wouldn't average out the price.
To Sona's credit, they never pushed it on me, they didn't even bring it up - I asked them about it. They agreed after my failure that results have not been that good - read between the lines !(worthless)

Answer
Meladine- there is a stidy out that basically showed it was ineffective in aiding hair removal as it does not penetrate into the hair well.
