Question
i was told by a mechanic friend that they had been warned about geting their heads too close to the new gas discharge type headlamps when switched on, on certain cars as this could make their hair fall out!
I know laser can do this (thats why we are here!) but surely just light however bright cant do this--- or can it?

Answer
LOL I have a similar story about hair loss. My family is originally from Brazil, and when I was little my uncle used to take us to the forest areas there, he touched some frog which we later found out was really poisonous. A few weeks following the incident my uncle lost all of the hairs on the areas that were touched and the nearby areas on his arm and a few patches on his legs. The hairs never grew back.
Sometimes I wonder if I should do this
